hi, i was one or the first enrolments at hila booler the year it opened. i’m 48 now,but i still have vivid & extremely happy memories of the 5 days a week i attended for 3 yrs! we had picture tags on our lockers & fold out beds for nap time, mine was “bannana”. i remeber the garage in the grounds was full of tricycles, pedal cars etc,& every time i
smell tuna casserole i’m transported back there immediately!
the favoured dessert was rhubarb&apple crumble&custard. my teachers name was mrs Fisher,
i have a couple of photos taken at the 1964 &65 xmas paties&received xmas cards from her for many years after leaving.the mothers all did 1 day a week there helping with food, equipment etc. i attended the 25th or 30th? celebrations years ago & all those memories came flooding back!
thanks for indulgeing me in my trip down memory lane, just wanted to say hilda booler was one,if not the happiest times of my life.
