There is a Hoyts cinema complex in the Broadway shopping centre. Outside Glebe, there are smaller “art” cinemas in Leichhardt – Palace Norton Street – and Newtown – the Dendy – and the huge George St cinema complex is an easy bus trip away.

Unfortunately the Valhalla, which used to be a Glebe icon, shut down in 2005.
